About Valerie

Valerie Ayers is currently serving as a high school instructional coach in South Carolina. She is a former high school English teacher, softball coach, and assistant athletic director. She earned a B.A. in Secondary Education, a M.Ed in Administration and Supervision, and Ed.S. in Educational Leadership and is currently working on a Doctorate in Educational Leadership through Liberty University. Valerie has a passion for supporting teachers to enhance student success in schools and has found success transferring her athletic coaching skills to her roles in instructional leadership. She is both a certified teacher mentor and mentor trainer in South Carolina. Valerie is the author of On Deck Teaching, a blog created to support both teachers and teacher leaders.

Attendees will gain an understanding of the importance of consistency for instructional leaders and how it can be used to build relationships and foster school-wide success.
