Teacher Success EQUALS Student Success: The Foundations of Coaching and Teaching

“We're all here for kids.” We've heard this sentiment time and time again. But in recent years, a new wave of obstacles and challenges has widened the chasm between well-intentioned educators and the very kids they are trying to support. Instructional coaches are well-positioned to help teachers navigate these challenges and obstacles to best support their students. But before coaches can effectively support teachers, they need a clear vision for, and understanding of, the most high-yield focus areas and a concise guide for how to best embark on the coaching journey. Nicole will introduce her S.I.M.P.L.E. Blueprint for Instructional Coaching, a roadmap that walks through the entire coaching journey: setting a vision, introducing your role, making a plan, providing strategic support, launching coaching cycles, and engaging in professional learning. Then, Nicole will unpack her CORE 4 framework by outlining the most impactful areas on which instructional coaches can focus their coaching efforts with individual teachers. Together, these frameworks outline the WHAT and HOW of coaching so that, ultimately, teachers can best support students.
